Our team also works together with the firm’s other practices to cover all matters relevant to banking and finance, in particular, tax and litigation.
We advise on banking and investment services regulatory matters, particularly in setting up branches in Portugal and in the cross-border provision of services under the European system of free provision of services. We have acted as intermediary with the Portuguese supervisory authorities on many occasions.
Our team has advised numerous companies in the aviation sector, including air transport operators and aircraft leasing and financing companies on matters relating to financing for this important industry. In addition, we provide legal assistance to our clients in matters relating to financial derivatives and we have worked actively in designing structured risk management operations. We have also revised the documentation and procedures relating to these types of operations for our clients, to adapt them to the recent legal and regulatory developments.
