PLMJ organises conference to debate the opportunities and challenges of arbitration in Southern Africa

PLMJ, in collaboration with the Portuguese Arbitration Association and the Spanish Arbitration Club, has organised a conference on “Arbitration in Southern Africa”. The event, which will take place as part of the PLMJ Cycle of Conferences, is set for 26 November at 6 p.m. in the PLMJ Auditorium. The aim of this conference is to understand the opportunities and challenges of arbitration in Southern Africa, in the context of the growth of arbitration in this part of the world. Speakers include Pedro Metello de Nápoles, executive coordinator of the PLMJ arbitration team and head of the firm’s Angola Desk, and Tomás Timbane, president of the Mozambican  Bar Association and head of GLM - Gabinete Legal Moçambique, a member of PLMJ International Legal Network.

The conference will be chaired by Agostinho Pereira Miranda, founding partner of the law firm Miranda Correia Amendoeira & Associados.
