PLMJ is strengthening its presence in Mozambique with NMP Advogados

PLMJ will now advise its clients in Mozambique through PLMJ Colab Moçambique – NMP Advogados.

Founded by PLMJ lawyer Nuno Morgado Pereira, PLMJ Colab Moçambique – NMP Advogados is now part of PLMJ Colab, PLMJ's international network of offices focused on countries with cultural and strategic links to Portugal.

Based in Mozambique, PLMJ Colab Moçambique – NMP Advogados combines the services of a top-tier Portuguese firm with extensive local experience.

Until now, PLMJ had worked in partnership with TTA – Sociedade de Advogados, a local firm led by Tomás Timbane. The transition to PLMJ Colab Moçambique – NMP Advogados aims to increase the firm’s commitment to Mozambique, strengthen its links with PLMJ in Portugal and increase its involvement in the transactional segment.

Nuno Morgado Pereira is a lawyer in PLMJ's Banking, Finance and Capital Markets practice and is responsible for the firm's work in Mozambique. He has particular experience in projects and financing in the Mozambican and Portuguese markets.

With over 10 years' experience, he specialises in project finance and development transactions, particularly in the energy (including oil and gas, LNG and energy transition), natural resources and infrastructure sectors, from design to the secondary market. He advises sponsors/borrowers, commercial banks and multilateral and bilateral development financial institutions on strategic joint ventures, project management, financial structures and products, including structured finance, direct loans, asset finance, corporate loans and trade and export finance.
