Pascoal Bié, a lawyer at the law firm TTA, which is the PLMJ Colab network firm in Mozambique, has been appointed as one of eight African representatives to the ICC YAF - International Court of Arbitration Young Arbitrators Forum. The representatives from the different countries are elected for a two-year term and are responsible for promoting the ICC's dispute resolution services and developing the network of more than 10 000 members. The YAF is made up of people aged 40 and under and enables young professionals to acquire new skills and knowledge, including a better understanding of the ICC's arbitration procedure and its other dispute resolution services.
The ICC is an international non-governmental organisation that promotes and advises on international trade and globalisation. It is recognised in arbitration for its experience and expertise in resolving international commercial disputes.
