PLMJ partners Paulo Farinha Alves and José Ricardo Gonçalves, who are litigation specialists, are speakers at yet another workshop on Compliance Practices - The Anti-Corruption Best Practice Manual and the “Vertrauensanwalt” (trusted lawyer), organised by PLMJ in cooperation with the Portuguese-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCILA). The rules of compliance are taking on an increasingly important role as a guarantee of transparency and are an advantage on terms of credibility, reputability and trustworthiness of the companies in the market. Mindful of the relevance and current importance of this topic, the CCILA and PLMJ decided to hold yet another joint initiative with the objective of alerting the business community to the importance of implementing written, firm and precise compliance rules. The fight against economic crime will also be a featured topic. PLMJ partner Paulo Farinha Alves will make a presentation on "The Anti-Corruption Best Practice Manual", a guide produced by PLMJ, and, José Ricardo Gonçalves will speak on the issue know by the German term: “Vertrauensanwalt” (trusted lawyer), a figure who is independent from the company and does not form part of its organic structure that is already a feature in some business groups in Germany.
The debate takes place at the ANJE - Associação National de Jovens Empresários, in Oporto on 18 June
