Melissa Castanho
Joined PLMJ in 2023.
Associate in the EU and Competition Law practice.
About Melissa
Melissa is an associate in the European and Competition Law practice. She advises domestic and international clients on matters relating to proceedings before the Competition Authority and the European Commission. She also represents clients in civil liability proceedings for anti-competitive practices.
She has experience in defending companies in cartel proceedings, competition litigation, merger control, abuse of a dominant position, and the implementation of compliance programmes. She has particular experience in assisting clients with matters relating to state aid.
Melissa holds a degree from the NOVA School of Law and an LLM in European Law from Maastricht University.

- Admitted to the Portuguese Bar Association, 2023
- Master's in European Law from Maastricht University.
