About Filipe
Filipe is a partner in the Corporate M&A practice in the Porto office and has 28 years' experience as a lawyer.
His main areas of practice include mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions, corporate governance, public-private partnerships, concessions, and corporate restructuring and reorganisation. He has acted extensively for public authorities, private sponsors and construction companies, particularly in transactions involving concessions and major infrastructure projects.
Filipe is a member of the International Association of Lawyers (UIA) and a board member of the Portuguese Committee of the UIA. He is also a member of the Board of the Porto Commercial Association and of the Higher Council of the Administrative and Tax Courts. He has also lectured at the Portuguese Bar Association and at Católica Porto School of Law.
Before joining PLMJ, Filipe worked as a lawyer at Cuatrecasas for 10 years. He has also practised law in Macau.
Filipe holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra and completed a postgraduate course in European Studies at the same faculty.
