About Filipe
Filipe is a partner in the Corporate M&A practice at the Porto office and has 28 years' experience as a lawyer.
His main areas of practice include mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital operations, corporate governance, public-private partnerships, concessions and corporate restructuring and reorganisation.
He has extensive experience in M&A, private equity and venture capital transactions and in the public service concessions sector. He has acted for public authorities, private promoters and construction companies.
Filipe is a member of the International Association of Lawyers (UIA) and a board member of the Portuguese Committee of the UIA. He is also a member of the Board of the Porto Commercial Association and of the Higher Council of the Administrative and Tax Courts. He has also been a lecturer at the Portuguese Bar Association and at the Faculty of Law of Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Porto.
Before joining PLMJ, Filipe worked as a lawyer in Cuatrecasas for 10 years. He has also worked as a lawyer in Macau.
Filipe holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra and completed a postgraduate course in European Studies from the same faculty.
