Carmen is a partner in the Real Estate and Tourism practice and heads PLMJ's Faro office.
With almost 20 years' experience, she acts for a range of clients in the tourism and real estate sectors, particularly owners of tourism developments and hotels. She advises on a variety of real estate, tourism, corporate, contractual and trade mark matters. Her work includes assisting buyers and sellers in investment and divestment transactions involving real estate assets.
Carmen also has extensive experience in litigation and arbitration involving corporate matters, unfair competition and contractual compliance. Her experience includes contracts relating to golf rights and construction contracts.
She is a member of the board of directors of the British-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce.
Carmen holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, an LL.M. in international trade and business law from Católica Lisbon School of Law, and completed an extension course in arbitration at NOVA School of Law.
