Ricardo Oliveira
Joined PLMJ in 1996.
Partner and head of the EU and Competition Law practice.
About Ricardo
Ricardo is the partner who heads the EU and Competition Law practice and has 30 years' experience.
He specialises in EU and competition law, with a particular focus on defending companies in cartel and abuse of dominance cases. Ricardo also has extensive experience in competition litigation, merger control, state aid, compliance programmes, and EU law and litigation.
He has particular experience in the consumer goods, pharmaceutical, financial services, insurance, transport, energy and media sectors, and his clients include some of the leading international companies in these industries.
Ricardo holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and an LL.M. in European Law from the College of Europe in Bruges.
Before joining PLMJ, Ricardo worked in the office of the President of the General Court of the European Union in Luxembourg and at the European Commission in Brussels.
