Managing associate in the Banking and Finance practice.
Nuno is dual qualified in Mozambique and Portugal and is a managing associate in the Banking and Finance and Capital Markets practice. He is also head of the firm's Mozambique practice and serves as local partner at the PLMJ Colab member law firm. Nuno has developed particular expertise in projects and financings in the Mozambican and Portuguese markets.
With more than 10 years' experience, his practice spans project finance and project development transactions, particularly in the energy sector, including oil and gas, LNG and the energy transition, as well as natural resources and infrastructure. He advises on projects ranging from greenfield developments to secondary market transactions.
Nuno has extensive cross-border experience acting for sponsors, borrowers, commercial banks, and multilateral and bilateral development finance institutions in relation to strategic joint ventures, project management, financing structures and products, including structured finance, direct lending, asset finance, corporate lending, and trade and export finance.
Nuno holds a law degree from NOVA School of Law, a master's degree in administrative law, specialising in public procurement from Católica Lisbon School of Law, and an LL.M. in international business law from Católica Global School of Law.
Nuno is admitted to both the Portuguese and Mozambican Bar Associations.
