About Mariana

Mariana is a senior associate in the Dispute Resolution practice and has more than 5 years' experience.

She focuses on civil, commercial and corporate law. Her areas of spcialisation include class actions involving the private enforcement of competition law, consumer law, data protection and securities law, as well as directors' liability in financial institutions. She also provides pre-litigation and litigation advice in these areas.

Mariana holds a law degree from Católica Lisbon School of Law and completed an LL.M. in International Commercial Law at University College London. In 2019, she completed a postgraduate course in M&A and corporate litigation at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.

She returned to PLMJ in 2023 after working as an adviser to the Secretary of State for Tourism, Trade and Services in the 23rd Constitutional Government.
