Rita Calafate
Joined PLMJ in 2019.
Senior associate at the Faro office.
About Rita
Rita is a senior associate in the Real Estate and Tourism practice and has 10 years' experience.
She has advised on a variety of real estate transactions and due diligence exercises. She has particular experience in the Algarve, while also assisting clients throughout Portugal. Earlier in her career, Rita was a member of the litigation team, where she gained extensive experience in complex disputes, particularly relating to property, construction, commercial and corporate matters.
Rita is also part of PLMJ's insurance law team.
She completed a postgraduate course in property law at Católica Lisbon School of Law.
Before joining PLMJ, Rita was a lawyer at SPS – Sociedade de Advogados and worked in the Legal and Compliance Department of GNB – Companhia de Seguros de Vida, the life insurance company of the Novo Banco Group.
