About Ana Teresa

Ana Teresa is a senior counsel in the Tax practice and has more than 15 years' experience

She focuses on disputes involving the Tax and Customs Authority and Social Security. She has represented both Portuguese and international companies in major cases before the national tax courts, the Court of Justice of the European Union and arbitral tribunals.

In addition to her experience in complex litigation, including criminal proceedings relating to tax and social security offences, she also advises clients on pre-litigation matters, particularly in connection with tax inspection procedures.

She has worked with clients in the energy, construction, industrial and entertainment sectors, advising on corporate tax, VAT, property tax and social security matters.

Ana Teresa holds a law degree from NOVA School of Law and a postgraduate qualification in Tax Management from ISCTE. She regularly attends training programmes organised by the CJEU.

She worked at PLMJ from 2012 to 2017 and returned in 2023 after working as a senior associate at DLA Piper Portugal.
