About Kathleen

Kathleen is a senior counsel in the Banking and Finance and Capital Markets practices. She specialises in project finance, securitisation, investment funds, banking regulation and capital markets.

In recent years, Kathleen has worked on securitisation transactions, the sale of financial companies and loan portfolio sales. She has also advised on the establishment of investment funds and financial companies from a regulatory perspective. Kathleen worked with the legal department of Novo Banco, supporting the middle and front office teams in the negotiation of ISDA and ICMA agreements, financing transactions and bond issuances.

Kathleen began her career in Brazil. After moving to Portugal, she worked as legal counsel on secondment at Novo Banco and as an associate in the Banking and Finance and Capital Markets practices at SRS Advogados. Before joining PLMJ, she spent two and a half years as a senior associate in the Structured Debt team at Clifford Chance in London.

She is admitted to both the Portuguese and Brazilian Bar Associations.
