Tourism in Portugal is growing at a fast pace, with major real estate transactions in various areas of the country. We act for some of the most important tourism developments and for the leading Portuguese and international hotel brands.

We have supported numerous leading tourism developments and hotels from their inception. Our work most frequently involves acquisitions and sales, development, construction and promotion of real estate projects, and fundraising in the capital market with the issuance of securities and litigation.

Our lawyers prepare and negotiate all types of contracts. These include contracts for sale and purchase of tourism developments and tourism operation contracts. We handle contracts granting rights to use houses or apartments for tourism, contracts for timeshare rights and obligations, and hotel management contracts.

Our team deals with the licensing to set up and operate tourism developments, as well as with all tax issues.  We support our clients in designing and drafting contractual structures and models for their developments and in preparing their incorporation documents. Our lawyers also deal with the licensing to set up and run of tourist operators, including travel and tourism agencies. Finally, we also have extensive experience in litigation before the courts of disputes relating to this sector.
