Ana is taking part in the event ‘DeFi at Crossroads: Decoding the MiCA 2 Consultation', which is being held by the Research Centre for Private Law (CIDP) at the University of Lisbon's Faculty of Law.
The Corporate M&A practice's managing associate will moderate the first panel, which will focus on the concept of decentralisation as a criterion for excluding Decentralised Finance (DeFi) from the MiCA Regulation.
The discussion is organised into two panels. The first focuses on the criteria for determining the absence of full decentralisation. The second is dedicated to the proposal to create certification schemes for DeFi protocols and smart contracts.
As part of the DAO Talks series organised by the Lisbon DAO Observatory, this event will bring together academics, regulators, and industry representatives to discuss key regulatory challenges facing the DeFi ecosystem in the context of the European Commission's public consultation on MiCA 2.
