PLMJ advises Davidson Kempner on financing of Aquaterra

The transaction was led by André Figueiredo and Tomás Almeida Ribeiro, with support from a multidisciplinary team.

PLMJ acted as the Portuguese legal adviser to Davidson Kempner on its investment in Aquaterra, a Portuguese company specialising in the sustainable production of avocados and tangerines. This included specialised due diligence on the Aquaterra Group, as well as reviewing and negotiating the transaction documents in cooperation with the international adviser, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

The multidisciplinary team assigned to this project was led by Banking and Finance and Capital Markets partner André Figueiredo and Corporate M&A partner Tomás Almeida Ribeiro. The team also included Banking and Finance and Capital Markets lawyers Nuno Morgado Pereira and Carolina Inverno Branco, and Public Law/Environment lawyers Raquel Freitas and Telmo Coutinho Rodrigues.
