Tiago Cortes considers that the proposal to remunerate overtime work with days off could make hours banks “less attractive”

Parliament is looking at the possibility of paying civil servants’ overtime with days off rather than money. PLMJ partner, Tiago Cortes, from the firm’s employment and labour practice, recognises that the measure proposed may make the “hours bank” system less attractive in companies that use this system, which is “more bureaucratic and formal”.
