Joana Teixeira

About Joana

Joana is a senior counsel in the Tax practice. She has over 15 years' experience in tax matters and has principally worked in a Big 4 consulting environment. She has specialised in transfer pricing and Deals/M&A, and has led the tax management of highly complex transactions for corporate and private equity clients, both domestic and international.

Joana holds a degree in Economics from the University of Porto's Faculty of Economics and an Executive Master's in Finance from the Catholic University's School of Business Management. She is a certified accountant and a trainee member of the Portuguese Institute of Statutory Auditors.

Prior to joining PLMJ, she served as a finance and human resources director at a medium-sized Portuguese company belonging to a multinational family group and as a senior manager in the tax department at PwC.
