Joana Teixeira

About Joana

Joana is a senior counsel in the Tax practice and has more than 15 years' experience in tax law. Much of her career has been spent in Big Four consulting firms. She specialises in transfer pricing and M&A transactions and has led the tax aspects of highly complex domestic and international transactions for corporate and private equity clients.

Joana holds a degree in economics from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto and an Executive Master's in Finance from Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics. She is a certified accountant and has also completed the course and examination required by the Order of Statutory Auditors.

Before joining PLMJ, she served as finance and human resources director of a medium-sized Portuguese company belonging to a multinational family group and as a senior manager in the tax department at PwC.
