About Pedro

Pedro is an associate in the Banking and Finance and Capital Markets practice. He has worked on many of the recent major transactions in the financial and capital markets sectors in Portugal. These include securitisation, debt issuances and green bond issuance programmes.

He has been particularly active in debt trading transactions, especially NPL and REO portfolios, advising both sellers and purchasers. As a result, he has extensive knowledge of all aspects of the debt trading market. He has also worked on the securitisation of several NPL portfolios.

Pedro also has experience in advising on financing transactions including acquisition finance, project finance and financing restructuring projects. He regularly assists some of the largest banks, funds, and venture capital funds, and has also worked on secondment at a major international bank.

Pedro has also advised international credit institutions and financial companies on banking and financial regulatory law, and he has assisted insurance companies in M&A transactions.

Pedro attended a postgraduate course in corporate finance at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon. He has a law degree from the Nova School of Law and a master’s in law and management from Nova School of Law and Nova School of Business and Economics.
