Senior associate in the dispute Resolution practice.
Carolina is a senior associate in the Dispute Resolution practice. She has experience in civil and commercial litigation and in arbitration, both domestic and international. She has represented clients in a variety of institutional and ad hoc arbitrations concerning commercial, corporate, construction and investment matters.
She holds a degree in law from the University of Lisbon and a master's degree in litigation and arbitration from the Faculty of Law at Nova School of Law. She is currently enrolled in a postgraduate programme in corporate finance, restructuring and litigation at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
Carolina is a founding member of Portugal Very Young Arbitration Practitioners (PT-VYAP) and is a member of the CAC-Futuro Committee of the Lisbon Commercial Arbitration Centre.
Prior to joining PLMJ, she was an associate in the litigation and arbitration department at CMS Portugal, where she undertook a secondment to the international arbitration department at CMS UK in London. She also worked in the arbitration department at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP as a visiting foreign lawyer.
