About Andreia

Andreia is a partner in the Planning and Land Use practice and has 20 years' experience. She specialises in town and country planning and environmental law, particularly environmental impact assessment procedures, the use of water resources, and administrative litigation. Her clients include Portuguese and international developers, real estate investment funds, private equity funds and banks.

Andreia has extensive experience advising on the management and development of diversified real estate portfolios, particularly for residential, tourism, industrial, logistics and infrastructure projects. She advises clients from the initial decision to acquire land or shareholdings through to the verification and definition of the assumptions underpinning business plans, as well as the structuring and implementation of development strategies, including construction, regeneration and rehabilitation projects. She also advises on planning processes and related regulatory matters.

Andreia completed postgraduate courses in administrative and tax justice and in spatial planning and environmental law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra, and in administrative procedure at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon. She is a frequent speaker and moderator at conferences on topics within her areas of expertise.

Andreia began her legal career at PLMJ, where she trained and worked as a lawyer. In 2020, she returned to the firm after working as an external adviser on urban planning and land use matters for Hudson Advisors, L.P. and the Novo Banco Real Estate Group.
