About Margarida

Margarida is a senior associate in the Dispute Resolution practice and has five years' experience.

She advises clients on criminal litigation and compliance matters, acting in criminal litigation and administrative and judicial proceedings for clients across a range of sectors, including telecommunications, banking and financial institutions, energy and natural resources, transport and logistics, and industrial production. She also provides legal support to companies on compliance and risk-prevention matters, particularly in relation to corruption prevention, anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing and international restrictive measures.

Margarida holds a master's degree in law and legal studies, specialising in criminal law and criminal studies, and completed a postgraduate course in enforcement, compliance and criminal law in banking, financial and economic activities at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.

She is a member of Fórum Penal, an association of criminal lawyers.
