PLMJ advised Incus Capital, an asset management consultancy firm, on the acquisition of a stake in the Ecologistics platform and on forming a joint venture with Europi to expand it across Europe.
Launched in 2021, Ecologística already has eight logistics facilities in the Lisbon and Porto metropolitan areas. These facilities span 140,000 m² (with an additional 20,000 m² under construction), and notable tenants include companies from the logistics, food distribution, and e-commerce sectors.
The newly formed joint venture combines the experience of Europi and Incus Capital. It aims to establish Ecologistas as one of the leading logistics platforms on the Iberian Peninsula. The agreement provides for investment in the acquisition and development of high-quality logistics properties in Portugal and Spain, thus strengthening the Ecaméliorant platform's presence in the Iberian market.
At PLMJ, Francisco Lino Dias, a partner and co-head of the Real Estate and Tourism practice, led the operation. The other team members were Catarina Patrício Cruz, Marta Vanzeler, Carolina Pereira da Silva and Miguel André Martins, all from the Real Estate and Tourism practice; partner Bárbara Godinho Correia and Nuno Serrão Faria, and Leonor Melo Bento, all from the Corporate M&A practice; Eduardo Crespo, from the Capital Markets practice; and Benedita Lacerda and Ricardo Bandeira, both from the Public Law practice.
