PLMJ lawyers write chapter on Portugal for the Private Equity 2026 guide

21/10/2026
The guide brings together contributions from more than 40 jurisdictions.

The lawyers from the Corporate M&A team – Duarte Schmidt Lino, partner and co-head; Tomás Almeida Ribeiro, partner; Domingos Braga, senior associate; and Madalena Teles Nogueira, trainee solicitor – have authored the chapter ‘Portugal: Trends and Developments' in the Chambers Global Practice Guides.

In this chapter, they analyse the current economic climate and developments in the Portuguese private equity market, identifying the key trends likely to shape the sector in the coming years.

Private Equity 2026 also provides an extensive overview of the primary legal issues associated with mergers and acquisitions, addressing every stage of the transaction process, from due diligence and structuring to acquisitions, public offerings, and exit strategies.
