We advise our clients on all employment and labour issues, including collective bargaining,compensation and benefits, restructuring, employment litigation, disciplinary investigations and M&A transactions.

We advise on large-scale restructuring transactions in companies from the financial, banking, retail, technology, automotive, services and other sectors. We also handle the largest transactions taking place in the Portuguese market, working in multidisciplinary teams, in close cooperation with PLMJ’s corporate, capital markets and other practices.

We regularly provide support to companies in auditing processes intended not only to assess levels of compliance, but also to evaluate and advise on cost-cutting strategies, governance of compensation and benefits, and social security issues. We know our clients well and work in a proactive and preventive way to avoid risks and contingencies that may impact their businesses.

The team supports companies in collective bargaining processes, especially in their relations with the bodies that represent workers. Because of our strategic approach, we have managed to achieve agreements that truly help companies to further develop.

We deal with highly complex employment litigation cases, where we define the objectives to be achieved and the strategy to be followed with our clients. Above all, we share the risks with them.

We are involved in highly sensitive disciplinary investigations, quickly achieving an outcome in line with our clients’ expectations, both in terms of the results and of the management of the process.
