PLMJ advised on four of the largest real estate transactions in Portugal in 2024

The year 2024 was marked by 48 commercial real estate transactions, a number four times higher than that of 2023, and which Iberian Property magazine highlighted in its most recent edition.

Four of the largest transactions on this list were handled by PLMJ, led by Ricardo Reigada Pereira, partner and co-head of the Real Estate and Tourism practice.

The following operations stand out:

- The acquisition of the Alegro Montijo shopping centre, which represents significant growth in Lighthouse Properties' asset portfolio in the Iberian Peninsula.

- Advising Castellana Properties on the purchase of 50% of the share capital of the company Alegro Sintra– Sociedade Imobiliária, S.A., expanding its presence in the Portuguese market.

- The sale of K-Tower, located in Parque das Nações. This commercial tower, designed by architects Saraiva + Associados and Metrourbe, has BRREAM certification and a total area of 15,000 m2.

- The largest transaction carried out in Portugal for a single retail park. PLMJ advised AM Alpha on the sale to Redevco of BPlanet, located in Barreiro, which has a gross lettable area of 35,000 m2.

According to Iberian Property, a renowned magazine in the sector, last year Lisbon attracted 1.292 billion euros in real estate investment, with an emphasis on the retail sector with 43% of the total annual investment volume.
