PLMJ advised ASA on the sale of a 51% stake in Cabo Verde Handling (CV Handling) to Swissport, completing the company’s privatisation process.
This partnership aligns with the country’s strategic priorities of establishing Cape Verde as an aviation hub and maximising the benefits of the airport concession granted to Vinci Airports.
PLMJ provided ASA with advice throughout the process, from structuring and managing the privatisation process to negotiating the legal documents for the transaction and finalising it. The PLMJ team was led by Carla F. Machado, a partner in the Public Law practice. The team also included Diogo Duarte de Campos, partner and head of the Public Law practice, Pedro Siza Vieira, partner in the Banking and Finance and Capital Markets practices, and Duarte Schmidt Lino, partner and co-head of the Corporate M&A practice, as well as lawyers Domingos Braga and João Palmeiro Carrilho.
