André Figueiredo
Joined PLMJ in 2015.
Partner and head of the Banking and Finance and Capital Markets practices.
About André
André is the partner who heads the Banking and Finance and Capital Markets practices. He has a diversified practice in the areas of capital markets, corporate and structured finance and regulatory advice, acting regularly for issuers/borrowers, sponsors, banks and investors.
He has been following closely the ongoing transformation of the Portuguese banking sector, acting for investors on resolution matters, and representing investors and issuers in some of the largest NPL deconsolidation transactions, some of which public traded. André also leads the firm’s impact investment practice.
André obtained an LL.M. in Corporate Law from NYU School of Law and earned a PhD in securities law from Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
He teaches securities and financial law at the Portuguese Catholic University, is the author of several articles and legal books in the fields of securities and finance law, and a regular speaker at industry and academic conferences.
