About Rita

Rita is a managing associate in the Banking and Finance and Capital Markets practices, where she focuses on financing transactions and banking and capital markets regulation and supervision.

She has experience in structured finance, real estate finance and debt restructuring finance, having represented lenders and sponsors in numerous significant transactions across a range of sectors, including energy production, industrial manufacturing, retail, tourism and hospitality, and infrastructure concessions.

Rita has also been particularly active in debt issuances, advising issuers, noteholders and other stakeholders on securitisation transactions and the implementation of commercial paper and green bond issuance programmes.

She also advises international credit institutions and financial companies on regulatory and supervisory matters relating to banking and investment activities, collective investment schemes, payment services and virtual assets.

In 2020, Rita worked on secondment at the European Investment Bank, where she provided legal advice and support on financing operations in Spain and Portugal.

Rita holds a master's degree in law and management from Católica Lisbon School of Law and attended an intensive specialisation course in collective investment schemes at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.
